some call this the most powerful city in the world; but it’s a city with its own personality and traits as any other… my sense of it is that metro DC is becoming more hip as we enter the 21st century, and that’s a good thing; updated in 2026 as it’s now colloquially called the DMV = District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia.
