Recent conversation I found helpful, a friend said: “With insecure people, anything you say is [perceived] negative.” For me, I believe conversation and sharing in the open should be done, that information is just data, and mostly neutral. I don’t put a “positive” (or evangelical-speak’s “edifying”) or “negative” label on things. That’s too bad. Now of course, if I want to be critical and negative, believe you me, I can choose language to convey disdain and negativity.

I know churches where this wouldn’t go over so well — Theology on Tap — it’s a young adult ministry gig that’s been around for years, recently getting some press again..
