someone else won

I tried to put in a last minute bid for an autographed pre-release copy of Brian McLaren’s forthcoming book, The Last Word and the Word After That: A Tale of Faith, Doubt & A New Kind of Christianity, but someone else had a higher automatic bid. It went for $280. Congratulations to the winner 707danaa. I did get to push it over the $200 mark earlier. All for a good cause.

And, apparently someone named Rick had a pre-release copy and reviewed it without giving away the punch line. Though the word has already gotten on the street that this book will be talking about hell.

thanks for the mention – it’s the most conversational of the books, with just enough plot to support the discussions. and yeah, it’s about hell, eternity, exclusive vs inclusive vs universal and whatever else the characters can articulate. i think it’s a really good entry to the debates, but for me it’s more about the interplay and dialogue than the actual text.

    thanks again!
