see what I’m seeing

Select pictures online at my photo album from my week in Indy at the African Methodist Episcopal Church conference, and around parts of downtown Indy. Still here until the 7th. You’ll see some pictures of the more elaborate booth displays and people campaigning (I had mistakenly called picketing) on behalf of their pastors for the office of Bishop — 60 candidates in all running for 7 Bishop positions. Word on the street (aka rumors) is that a lot of money are put into these campaigns, as is apparent from some campaigns that have spared no expense, including one that bought out one hotel’s key cards to encourage votes for one particular candidate, while others have brought upwards of 200+ members from their church to attend the conference. No official statement or description has been issued on their website. And knowing how the blogosphere can irritate or annoy some people, I’ll refrain from thinking out loud.
