my expiring semi-sabbatical

My semi-sabbatical is nearing its end. The next season of my work life is almost in place, light is just around the corner, excitement all around, and I’ll let you know what’s up as soon as it’s official.

Video blogged my update spontaneously earlier today, and that’s my son being silly in the background. (btw, good to see Chris Seay videoblogging too.) Unlike Joseph (aka Hosive), I did not learn Southern cooking, but I did learn how to roll sushi, and will be making my debut as an amateur sushi chef tomorrow for my wife‘s workplace.

Hey DJ, it’s good to hear (literally) from you again! I look forward to hearing about your new job possibility. We definitely miss you here, but I know you’re fully in God’s hands, and I look forward to hearing about this new stage in life. 🙂 Take care!

Sounds exciting. Jeremiah is so cute! And is that a foosball table in the background?

Carol, thanks for the kind words 🙂 Yes, that is a 2nd-hand foosball table in the background. And, we do apologize for the terrible mess in our makeshift basement office. I got it rattered and tattered as a freebie on craigslist (another SF Bay creation). We love craigslist! Finally fingured out a way to attach 4×4 posts as legs to make it more playable, instead of putting it on top of a folding table.

Cool video! Jeremiah playing in the background while you have sharing some serious reflections, priceless! 🙂
