Jazz in Bethesda

Yes, you can find a little live jazz in Bethesda, Maryland, at restaurants like Sala Thai (Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays) and next to Cafe Europa at Europa Lounge (Tuesdays to Saturdays, unconfirmed) — whose addition in 2004 was described as: “Given the paucity of live music in Bethesda — where choices are usually limited to rock or Celtic — it was a welcome addition.”

Now, first Sundays of each month, there’s free live jazz at the Church In Bethesda. They’ve been running Jazz at Vespers for three months now, and I hope they’ll keep up the incredible rhythm. I stopped in this past Sunday, and the music was soulful, heard Natala ripping it up on the violin (like Vanessa Mae!), plus the desserts and wine beforehand — an extra special treat. Yes, all for free. Very enjoyable, good for the soul in more ways than one. These organic search engine friendly words should help spread the word of mouse.
