fat man walking, now talking

Steve Vaught is The Fat Man Walking, and just finished his walk across the country (previous video) today. He blogged about it at www.thefatmanwalking.com and was on the NBC Today Show this morning — video is now online. I did not follow the event as it happened, but I do commend his effort. Sad about his wife filing for divorce.

I had started walking myself just last summer, for my own health and well-being, just around the neighborhood. It was a delight when my son asked (for the first time) to go out for a walk around the neighborhood last night after dinner.
