evening worship around Washington DC
This is for my own growingly erratic schedule, and for other search-engine seekers to find this useful info. Sometimes I cannot make it to a Sunday morning worship service, but I could sure attend a church on Saturday evening or Sunday night. I would have titled this post “church at night,” but that’s not as search-engine friendly 🙂
Also, please see this list of churches with evening worship services and add your updates there, for other states and cities.

Just moved to the Northern VA area and have been searching for a while for a church service on Saturday. This site is really helpful. Thank you! Any updates to follow?
Thanks so much for this list. I’m new to DC and this has been very helpful as I’m also one who likes to attend Sunday evening services. I came across a service that you don’t have listed St. Peter’s on Capitol Hill has a 5pm Sunday evening mass. They are located at 313 Second Street SE, DC 20003.
This is interesting, thanks, we are looking for one – but any mutli cultural, diverse church out there? Marie
National Community Church has changed their Saturday services to 5p and 6:30. http://theaterchurch.com/location/ebenezers
does anyone know of any churches that simply keep their doors open late for people to wander into for a few moments of reflection?
