My wife and I, to prepare for the Lord's Day.. watch Saturday night

wrestling.. from Industrial Blvd... it's high class entertainment.. for the

simple minds, it's the force of light and the force of darkness, in there..

matched in world cosmic conflict.. you hope that light wins on a given night..

but if you watch these wrestlers that we enjoy... I was sitting there one

night, and I said to Carolyn, honey, this reminds me a lot of faith healing..

in the sense that they each have a different technique.. they each have a

different identifiable pattern or clothing.. you remember Fritz Von Erik, he

had the claw.. and as you watch old Fritz, he can get the snot kicked out of

him.. but if he got the claw on your brain.. you were impaired interminably

for at least ten seconds, and then that's it... watching faith healers, each

one has a different hold, or a different characteristic.. my favorite is A.A.

Allen, because he came to Philadelphia and I got to watch him.. unfortunately

the dear guy drank himself into oblivion, and died of cerrosis of the liver..

what do you with that.. well, I think the Charismatics would say the reason

the Latter Rain movement died was because there was a lot of crackpots.. and

they couldn't keep up.. some made the transition to the ballroom, but others

stayed right in tents..



for all their immoral escapades.. you have to say.. about the American

public.. we are very gullible people, and we're dull people.. we will believe

the best until all hell breaks loose... Jim Bakker still has his followers..
