5 blogs that make me think
Bruce Reyes-Chow tagged me (ouch!) while I was driving with family cross country. I’m not a big fan of these blog-based games or grid-blogging or such, but for Bruce, I’ll make an exception. So here’s 5 blogs that make me think (there are many more, but the tag game is to list 5):
- the Glocal Trekker – met up with pastor Bob Roberts last week, he’s a strong practitioner AND a thinker well-read on philosophy
- NextGenerAsianChurch.com – David Park and others blog it up about the collision of faith and culture
- Faith Dance – Dan Brennan advocates that truly men and women can be friends
- InternetMonk.com – Michael Spencer, a veteran post-evangelical blogger dating back to
20042000 - Jesus Creed – of course Scot McKnight’s a thought-leader, but I can’t keep up with his overly-prolific blogging
Where this tagging-game “meme” originated from is thethinkingblog.com,
The participation rules are simple:
1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,
3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn’t fit your blog).
Thanks for the nod, DJ. I’ve been blogging at IM since 2000, by the way.
iMonk, thanks for the comment! I did recall you were a veteran, just couldn’t remember how far back it was.. ahem, just looked again, and I see you’ve got an Older Archives tab to roll back the tapes! beautiful! 🙂
DJ, It’s a rarity for me to participate in the tagging too, but thanks for the link. I’m thankful that my blog has contributed to the conversation of close male-female friendships within the Christian community and beyond. May the Lord bless you as you travel!
