Question> I am writing you to ask you a question about Ephn 3:9. What is the mystery that the apostle Paul is talking about here? I have a bible tract ministry here in Milwaukee and i often ask people questions about the Word of God.
djchuang>> In the context of Ephesians 3, the word “mystery” is used 4 times, so in verse 9, the word’s meaning is best drawn from the context. The author Paul describes this mystery as something revealed to him (v.3) which previously was unknown to him or to other generations (v.5). And he desires to share this mystery with the readers of this text (v.4). The mystery is clearly defined in verse 6: This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.
