I’m sitting here minding my own business, actually trying to do some work, and my friend Brent Wong (@EpicBdub) asks me about what podcasts I listen to. He also asked how to get more Twitter followers, and I don’t have a good answer, other than to ask you to consider following him: use Follow @EpicBdub.

podcastsRather than just sending him my podcast subscription list (powered by Pocket Casts running on Android) alone, why not share the wealth? So I’ll go ahead and share it with the whole world here on my blog: DJ Chuang’s export.opml (12/16/13).

I’ll get around to putting in the names of the podcasts later; scroll below for the raw output of the OPML converted into HTML. (Sure would save me a ton of time if there was a better OMPL to HTML converter out there; help?!) [did find this widget to make the list browse-able]

I have so many reasons to be thankful, we all do! And rather than bombarding my twitter feed with the many things that come to mind, i thought I’d put them here and update them throughout the day.

I’m thankful for: a dear wife of 13 years, a healthy son Jeremiah now in middle school, a home in Aliso Viejo, a dream job, no commute, my parents who came to the USA in 1974 so we 3 sons could have freedom and opportunity, the diligence of my 2 brothers with family matters, a mom who reads my blog, a delicious smoothie made via blendtec, this iPhone 3g even without cut/paste, each and every follower following my twitter, extra hours of sleep, in-laws who pray a lot, friends near and far, Jesus Christ for loving me and putting up with my foibles, God for opening my eyes to His beauty and grace, friends on FaceBook, more self-awareness into my 40s, Mark Batterson being quite the history buff and reviews the real reason we even have Thanksgiving, Continue reading »

Even though I typically use my T-mobile hotspot subscription to login at nearby Starbucks and Borders, I can also enjoy the occasional free wifi internet from other venues I stumble upon. They can be kinda hard to find, at least in places I frequent like around metro Washington DC, or, now, around Orange County. I reguarly use the Wi-Fi FreeSpot Directory — this shows up #1 on a Google search for “free wifi” and in the last year over 4000 new locations have been added.

But I found 3 4 other great free wifi directories online with web 2.0 collaboration that maintains a current and up-to-date directory (but haven’t accrued enough Google juice and I hope my link and yours will help):

(Statistics were self-reporting from each directory, at time of this blog post.)

There you go — now you can stay connected. Just have to remember to bring your laptop, and keep your battery charged. If you find other great free wifi directories, please do add a comment to this post.
