seismic shifts in the blogosphere

I’m no longer able to keep up with all the activity in the blogosphere and vlogging world. Big things are happening with employee changes in the past month or so:

• Scoble leaving Microsoft (cf. Valleywag spin, buy his house)
• Tara leaving Riya
• Amanda leaving Rocketboom (coverage by Valleywag, cf. mediation attempt, copy cat missileblast.com)

Why is it so hard to change jobs without the rumors and speculations? There are always back stories of minor (or major) dissatisfactions with an old job, granted, I wish for a world when a job change could be made without the over-positive-spin announcements and a bit more candor and honesty. But then again, even in this era of growing transparency, professional courtesy is to stay with the jolly-good positive words.
