My web hosting switch is complete. (Tech talk: It took less than 12 hours for the new DNS settings to propagate to the server that I use at work, but it took just under 48 hours [2 days] for it to propagate to the Verizon DSL server I use at home.)

While I had a very good 2-year run with web hosting at Total Choice Hosting, with excellent customer service, I was less than happy about these email alert notifications:

The domain djchuang.com has reached 80% of its bandwidth limit.
Please contact the system admin as soon as possible.

I had been looking for a web host for a while– appreciate those who left comments. I switched to DreamHost.com, and now I should have no more bandwidth problems for a while. Now I am free to blog more often. :)

And, I’m almost finished with editing and layout for the forthcoming book, Asian American Youth Ministry. Should have it published before the week is out! I’m getting a proof copy first, then if everything looks okay, I’ll open the store in 2 weeks or less!

[update: previous blog posts about the editing of the book, status on editing, the youthworkers forum that led up to the book, sneak peek at the live online bookstore]
