historic gathering of Asian American youthworkers

The Asian American Youthworkers Forum went very, very well. The 40 or so attendees were receptive and interacting with one another, building new relationships, and sharing stories from their youth groups, ministries, and their lives as well. It’s the first time in human history, as far as we know, that a public conference has been put together specifically for Asian American Christian youthworkers to provide a space for addressing unique issues of ministering in that context. And a print-on-demand book will be forthcoming from the presentations made there [sign up to get notified]. I’m waiting on attendees to fill out their evaluation forms, so I’ll refrain from commenting further, as to not influence their honest feedback. But, you can see some photos from the Forum.

And, in other news, Peter Drucker passed away this morning at age 95. Bloomberg is first out of the chute with news coverage, citing initial announcement from Claremont Graduate University. Drucker is known as the father of modern management, but also has had profound impact on social entrepreneurs like Bob Buford, Rick Warren, and many others.
