This is was my web hosting service, which offers cost-free, banner-free business hosting network that does NOT place annoying banners on members’ web pages. Thank you DotEasy for making www.djchuang.com a real deal!

Please beware of the unethical business practices of Doteasy (www.doteasy.com). Although the $0 web hosting offer seems quite attractive. The company will attract you to upgrade your service (e.g. increase the storage quota by 100MB) with minimal incremental payments. When you find that you do not need the service upgrade and require a service downgrade at a later time, you will be charged US$15 for the so call “Plan Change Service” which you have never heard of before. Or, you will have your website suspended even if the basic service plan you paid for has not been expired.
Better not to host your website at Doteasy. Should you have already subscribed the service, please remember not to upgrade your plan and try to find another honest web hosting company asap.
Please also spread this message to your friends to avoid sufferings.
I agree with the advice to stay away form Doteasy, for these reasons:
1. They try to sell you domain locking during domain registrations, but lock all domains by default anyway, so that they’re harder to transfer away. Sleazy! As a business practice, this SUCKS, it’s deceptive!
2. Even if you move your hosting and have nothing hosted there, you still have an account! they will add services to that account- the one you thought was closed- and the services will be initially free, but then they will start charging you crazy money for some dumb service like email spam/virus protection, even when you’re not using their email servers for email!!!! You don’t even have to be using their web hosting, if you have an account, they will add services and eventually try to charge you for them!
3. It’s brutally difficult to transfer away form Doteasy, which sucks. It took me a couple of weeks of emails to get them to unlock my domains. Similar problems with cancelling the “account”.
4. They do not have PHONE SUPPORT. There’s nobody to call for support or a quick resoution to your problem.
5. Their correspondence sucks. They just want to make money from you, so unless it’s a transaction where you’re giving them more money, count on it being a long haul to get whatevr it is you want done.
Dot easy is the worst registrar and hosting company I have ever deal with (and I've been with a few). As all the comments say, they will lock your domains, refuse to send you the AuthCodes for transfer and a lot of deceptive business practices.

Won’t transfer two of my domains because of email address change I made. Holding hostage for supposedly 60 days and of course the other domain expires in two weeks so another $25 charge. Let’s take action against this scam of a company!
